Foreign nationals entering Korea must have a valid passport and a Korean visa issued by the Korean embassy or consulate in their country. However, citizens of many countries are now allowed visa-free entry for a limited period of time under certain conditions. To check whether you can enter Korea without a visa and other requirements, please contact a Korean embassy or consulate in your country or visit the following websites.
Following the implementation of K-ETA from 1 September 2021, nationals of 112 countries/regions, who were eligible for visa-free entry, now need to obtain K-ETA approval in advance in order to board the flight or ship bound for the Republic of Korea. K-ETA authorization is generally valid for multiple trips over a period of two years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.
K-ETA will be temporarily waived for the 22 countries/regions listed below from April 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024 as part of a plan to support the revitalization of the tourism industry related to the celebration of Visit Korea Year (2023 ~ 2024).
